Japanese students help with garden designer’s exhibition at RHS Chelsea

日本人の生徒たちがRHSチェルシーフラワーショーの出展デザイナーを支援しました。

 
Four Writtle College students from Japan have helped a Japanese garden designer with his exhibition for RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

４人のリトルの生徒たちは日本人であるデザイナーの日本の庭を手伝いました。

The four volunteer members helped garden designer Fuminari Todaka with the organisation, construction, exhibition and clearance of his show garden, including translating for his team and explaining the concept to visitors in both Japanese and English.

4ボランティアのメンバーはガーデンデザイナーである戸髙文晴氏を
ショーの構成、施工、展示、撤去まで支援し、チームのための通訳、ビジターの方々に英語と日本語でコンセプトの説明なども行いました。

The students were Kaori Ono, a BSC (Hons) Landscape and Garden Design third year student; Eiki Shibuya, first year Foundation Degree Professional Floristry; Mitsuteru Futoi, first year Foundation Degree Garden Design student; and Ayane Shimazu, Foundation Degree Professional Floristry student, who was also a finalist in the Florist of the Year competition run at the Show.

Mitsuteru said: “During the exhibition, we explained the concept of the garden and answered enquiries from visitors. One of our members joined the designers’ lunch party as a translator and had the chance to chat with judges including James Alexander-Sinclair.”

光輝さん：「開催中、私たちはガーデンのコンセプトを説明し、お客さんからの問い合わせに答える仕事をしていました。私たちのメンバーの一人は通訳者としてデザイナーのランチパーティーに参加する機会があり、ジェームズ•アレクサンダー•シンクレアを含むジャッジの方と話す機会もあったそうです。」
